Datavan POS are RoHS Compliant
|
| Datavan has taken steps toward compliance with
the European Union (EU) Restriction on the use
of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive
by featuring lead-free power supplies, motherboards
and chassis.
As of March 2006, we are proud to announce
that our products have met the global environmental
standards. In addition to the other international
environmental standards such as GreenPC and
Energy StarR, Datavan has continuously deliver
innovative product and still provide an environmental
friendly solution.
A RoHS compliant product translates to meeting
the WEEE, The restriction of the use of certain
hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment. Under this restriction, Datavan POS
has eliminated or minimized several prohibited
chemicals, including lead.
The change to the system component will mostly
affect EU affiliated members and Customers
that distribute POS to the European Regions.
All Non-RoHS compliant are required to be delivered
into the EU region prior to July 1st, 2006.
For the non-European Distributors,
as majority of the suppliers will discontinue
the leaded components supply, all current solutions
with leaded components must be produced and
delivered by the end of December 2006.
